Mati getting ready for his 25m backstroke
To culminate this summer’s swim classes, The Noodies Swim School joined its first novice swim meet— the 11th Speedo Jumpstart Swim Carnival held in the Philippine Columbian Association last Saturday, June 16. This yearly event is one of the largest summer-ending activities for the swimming community, open to any novice competing for the very first time.

Eight Noodies students swam their hearts out in their first swim meet as their parents and teachers cheered them on. These were Caitlyn Denise Lim (11), Timothy Justin Lim (10), Chloe Mackenzie Lim (9), Bea Brielle Bongat (9), Sam Joson (9), Raj Joson (7), Alexander Johannes Chiu (6), Manuel Reyes (5). While all students competed in short distances—the meet only held 25-meter events—it was nothing short of exciting for everyone involved.

The Noodies finished the competition earning a total of 47 points, and everyone excitedly took home a finishers medal! It was an amazing, fun experience for both the students and teachers, and we’re looking forward to joining more in the future. Congratulations to all of our Noodies for all of their hard work!
